1. wetsuit fail

We went to a beach today on Lake Winnipisaukee and I decided to take my wetsuit to try out.  I haven’t swim in a wetsuit ever and I haven’t done an open water swim in more than a year and half.

Once I started swimming, the 58 degree water started seeping into my suit.  Not sure if that is normal.  Because of the water temps and foggy goggles, I had a difficult time relaxing and getting into a groove.  My breathing was too erratic. I probably spent 15 minutes “swimming” and called it a day.

The good news is that the suit felt fine and it definately helps you to stay in a good position.  I just need to get comfortable again in open water.

    Any tips?
