Finishing up this shit-ass week with wine and a bowl of ice cream, which I’ll probably regret tomorrow, but for now I’m enjoying.
I’d working on going back to school to get a graduate degree so I started some classes this week I need for prerequisites. It occured to me that the other undergraduates in the class WERE BORN WHEN I WAS WORKING ON MY BACHELOR’S DEGREE.

Feeling like a triathlete - finally
I’ve finally has a great training week where I hit all of my scheduled workouts and all three sports. I’ve been feeling like a fraud because I couldn’t run and I was lazy on the bike. Now I feel like a triathlete again. This really helps me to stay motivated. Skipping a workout doesn’t even seem like an option anymore.
This week, I start taking a few college courses....
Scheduled rest/recovery days are so much more satisfying than unscheduled days off. Like a reward for sticking to the plan.

I’ve had an epiphany recently about how important strength training is for runners and triathletes. It’s written about, but unfortunately, sometimes I need to experience it for myself in order to learn.

My husband has been saying similar things to me over the weekend.
He made me say something I like about myself and all I could come up with was: my hair isn’t falling out as much.

January - March
1) Increase base endurance & sport specific form
2) Swim 60 mins straight, bike 2 hours, run 45-60 mins.
January
1) Swim lessons, increase form & endurance
2) Create workout plan that includes at least two runs & bikes each week. Three swims/week.
3) Focus on clean eating, drop 3-4 pounds.
4) Continue strength training, but incorporate more yoga. Continue...

I’m officially starting my “training” this week for my 70.3 in August with a sick day. Not a great way to start, but perhaps it’s good to get some time to myself to plan out training and get myself organized.
